1. Introduction

BrainForge AI ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered quiz application designed to help users learn artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

BrainForge AI is developed and operated by Navin Agrawal, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address (provided during sign-up or via social login)
• Display name and profile photo URL (if provided by your identity provider)
• Authentication identifiers from Apple ID, Google, or email/password sign-in

Usage and performance data

• Quiz responses, scores, and performance statistics
• Topics studied and learning progress
• Session timestamps and time spent on quizzes
• Subscription tier and entitlement status

Technical data

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous analytics events (if analytics are enabled)

3. How we use your information

• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Generate personalized quizzes and track your learning progress
• Maintain leaderboards and performance statistics
• Improve the app experience through aggregated, anonymized analytics
• Communicate service updates or respond to support requests

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate BrainForge AI:

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) - handles sign-in via Apple ID, Google, and email/password. Firebase may collect device identifiers and IP addresses as described in the Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Supabase - provides the PostgreSQL database where your quiz data, progress, and account profile are stored. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Fly.io - hosts our backend API servers. Requests are processed in the United States.
• Mixpanel (if enabled) - collects anonymized analytics events to help us understand usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is sent to Mixpanel.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, strictly for the purpose of operating the app.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@getbrainforge.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Upon deletion, your quiz history, performance data, and profile information will be permanently removed from our systems. Anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained.

7. Data security

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Database storage is encrypted at rest. Authentication tokens are short-lived and securely managed through Firebase. We follow industry best practices including rate limiting, input validation, and threat detection.

8. Children's privacy

BrainForge AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (see Section 6)
• Opt out of analytics collection by disabling analytics in app settings

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
